kristine buechsenschuetz, regional director of sales in july 2007, kristine joined the h+g team as regional director of sales in the chicago office. she manages accounts in the midwest including illinois, michigan, indiana and wisconsin. after graduating from southern illinois university with a degree in hotel, restaurant and travel management, kristine headed south to work at the atlanta hilton & towers. she was assistant director of front office during the 1996 summer olympics and then moved into sales later that year. with a passion to travel, kristine left atlanta to backpack solo around europe the summer of 1998. when the bank account was depleted, she came back to the states to work for hilton again. this time she moved to nashville to follow her love of music. missing her friends and family, kristine left music city for chicago in 2000. she was a senior sales manager for various hilton hotels until she reached her goal of working in the chicago national sales office for hilton. in the fall of 2004, she then accepted a position as national sales manager in the new associated luxury hotels’ chicago office. kristine lives in downtown chicago where she spends free time enjoying the lakefront, attending theater and concert events and dining/dancing with friends as often as possible. when not traveling to her favorite destinations, she loves to spend weekends with her twin nieces, lindsey and lauren, who live in nearby orland park.
