two days in dallas by karen dee gravlin
Monday, May 24, 2010
i recently attended the mpi international community membership advisory council meeting in dallas. this was my first trip to dallas and although my time was limited, our partners at the adolphus and usa hosts took exceptional care of me and the other council members.

usa hosts graciously sponsored the airport transfers which were a welcomed surprise for many of the participants. upon arriving at the adolphus the committee was treated to a welcome reception in the walt garrison rodeo bar + grill.

our meetings were hosted in the patt morris neff room which is an elegantly appointed meeting room located on the mezzanine level. that evening we were treated to a brief city tour en route to dinner. the tour included the sixth floor museum at dealey plaza and the dallas theater center.

prior to arriving in dallas i had received a call from the mpi foundation asking me to record a video testimonial for their 'face of the foundation' campaign. i snuck away from my meeting for a few minutes to tape the message which can now be seen on-line. http://www.mpiweb.org/Foundation/video.aspx

thank you to the community membership advisory council for their dedication to enhancing the mpi community membership model and to the adolphus and usa hosts dallas for their hospitality, partnership + sponsorship!
