h+g had another successful 'experience' this may! with nearly 50 hotel partners participating in this signature event our midwest clients were exposed to a variety of properties representing locations from east to west coast.
this two-day event was kicked off at the
harley davidson museum in milwaukee were we arrived from a trip on the "fun bus" with several of our hotel partners. we enjoyed the table-top trade show while our clients enjoyed a buffet lunch and visited with our partners. after the luncheon we were back on the "fun bus" to the next destination for our suburban "experience" event at the intercontinental o'hare. a special thanks to the intercontinental for allowing h+g to use their world-class facility.
the following day we held our evening reception at the murphy chicago. this extraordinary location was unlike any other space that h+g has used in the past. the murphy auditorium was designed in a french renaissance style and if you've been to our event in the past you'll know that we usually tend to find more contemporary locations. nevertheless, the space looked amazing and with some help from our industry partners at
one smooth stone we were able to make this space our own.
prior to the event, h+g hosted a panel discussion. the topic being "the new normal". bill grusich presented some new standards that we are currently experiencing in our industry and included on the panel were dan dolan, director of sales and marketing at the
fairmont chicago millennium park, kay granath, cmp, account executive director of
association management center and david betke, manager of meeting services at
bluecross blueshield association.
for the second year in a row the silent auction was a success. we raised enough money to donate to three very important organizations:
mpi,
pcma and
association forum. thank you to our clients and hotel partners who participated and congratulations to all the big winners.
