the restoration of gaylord opryland is well underway, and we are pacing very well toward our re-opening on november 15, 2010. they can't wait to welcome all of their guests back to nashville! 

the opryland has reached an exciting milestone - all of the clean-up and remediation work is completed, and construction has begun in earnest. they have a veritable army of contractors on site working to restore their iconic and beloved gaylord opryland hotel. 

so what will be different the next time you host your meeting at gaylord opryland? as part of the restoration, they are redesigning the cascades lobby, cascades american cafe restaurant, and the cascades terrace bar, as well as volare and jack daniels restaurants. they're also excited to be introducing a new mexican restaurant concept as well as redesigned magnolia guest rooms, and renovations to the presidential suites. preliminary renderings have just been released and they wanted to share them with you first. please note these are directional, and are meant to provide you a glimpse into the vision of what these new areas may look like. renderings are not final and are subject to modification. visit the restoration update webpage to check them out, as well as new images of construction to date. 

since the unprecedented flooding that swept through nashville during the first weekend in may, the gaylord opryland - and nashville - have demonstrated an incredible resilience. already, almost all of downtown is as good as new - including the world-famous wildhorse saloon, home of nashville's largest dance floor and an important part of the gaylord entertainment family. the general jackson showboat is already cruising the cumberland river again! and the grand ole opry house will celebrate its re-opening the first week of october.
