stephen aird, regional director of sales steve joined h+g in january 2005 as the regional director of sales for our northeast office. he manages accounts in the tri-state area of new york, new jersey and connecticut along with cities such as boston, philadelphia and hartford. after graduating from the university of houston, conrad hilton school of hotel and restaurant management with a bachelor of science degree in hotel management, steve went to work for hilton international. his first position was in their restaurant division, located in the world trade center in new york city. steve was the national sales manager for windows on the world and coordinated the sales efforts for this premier restaurant and meeting facility. steve was responsible for such prestigious events as the 100th anniversary of the brooklyn bridge / statue of liberty and many of the tall ships celebrations. after eight years at windows on the world with hilton international, steve made the transition to hotel sales. he worked in the regional sales office with hilton international- hotel division and was responsible for group sales in the northeast region for their 160 hotels worldwide. steve spent the next six years in this position. steve then accepted a position with hyatt resorts as the director of sales at the hyatt pier 66 in sunny fort lauderdale, fl. his tenure with hyatt included two years with the caribbean group sales department selling their resort hotels in puerto rico, grand cayman, aruba and key west, fl. looking to expand into the international market again, steve accepted a position as director of international sales with accor hotels and resorts. at accor, his responsibilities included developing the corporate and group market for accor’s 600 hotels worldwide. steve has spent the past 6 years working on property at large convention hotels such as mohegan sun in uncasville, ct and the sanibel harbour resort and spa in fort myers, florida. steve and his wife, cyndi have two children, meredith and graham who keep them busy with softball, basketball and soccer. steve is an avid skier and golfer and is the biggest new york jets fan in the state of connecticut.
